I've been "collecting" foundations and perfumes in the past couple of years. So, here's a small review of two recent purchases: Revlon's Colorstay (oily/comb version) and Almay's Clear Complexion.
I've used one bottle of Colorstay few years back and I have no idea why I didn't buy another bottle back then, because I like this foundation and it does what it promises. It stays on my skin the whole workday + some. The lightest shade 110 Ivory is quite pale and the coverage is nice. Only con in the glass bottle without a pump. It's quite hard to get the foundation out of the bottle without a mess. :( I don't know why Revlon hasn't changed this yet, as every review I've read points this same fault. Oh, and everyone who's ever used this foundation knows how awful it smells. Like paint. Fortunately the smell disappears when it's applied.
Almay's Clear Complexion is a completely new brand and foundation for me. I read about this and decided to give it a try. Lightest shade 120 Ivory is a bit darker than Colorstay. But it's still ok. It stays put the whole workday, but it feels a bit drying even on my oily skin, so I need to remember to use a good moisturizer. This one is said to help to clear blemishes etc. I don't know about that because I rotate my foundations quite a lot, but at least it hasn't done anything bad for my skin.
I'd recommend these both for people with oily skins. For normal to dry skins these can be quite drying.
